Questions, answered.

The essentials about searching, scoring, sources and your data.

01What can I search for?+

You can search for products, vehicles, property, music releases, instruments, fashion, electronics, collectibles and many other categories. Include the make, model, format, size, budget, location or condition when those details matter.

02What is a Scour?+

A Scour is a search together with the intent and filters Scouvrit understood. Saving one lets you return to the same search setup later.

03How is the Scouvrit Score calculated?+

It combines intent match, deal quality, seller confidence, condition and—for auctions—timing and bidding activity. Open ‘Why this score’ on a result to see its components.

04Does a high score guarantee an item?+

No. Marketplace information can change and Scouvrit does not inspect the physical item. Always review the source listing, seller terms, authenticity evidence and final delivered price before buying.

05Why does a source sometimes show no results?+

The source may have no matching inventory, its API may be temporarily unavailable, or your requirements may be deliberately strict. Sandbox services can also contain far less stock than production marketplaces.

06Where are my saved items stored?+

In this local version, profile preferences, Saved Scours and saved listings are stored in your browser on this device. They are not synced to another device.

07Does Scouvrit sell the items?+

No. Scouvrit helps you discover and compare. Purchases, delivery, returns and disputes take place with the marketplace or seller shown on the listing.

08Can I ask for something to be excluded?+

Yes. Phrases such as ‘without date’, ‘exclude refurbished’ or an exact quoted requirement are interpreted as search constraints.

09Will more marketplaces be added?+

Yes. A marketplace can be added when an authorised, reliable API and suitable commercial terms are available.
