Scouvrit processes the search phrases and filters you submit. If you complete the profile page, it may also store the name, email, postcode and preferences you provide.
How information is used
Search information is used to interpret your request, query relevant search services, rank results and explain those rankings. Profile preferences are intended to provide useful search defaults. Information submitted through the contact form is used to respond to the enquiry and is sent to the Scouvrit support inbox.
Storage and retention
Signed-in account data is designed for managed database storage; guest saves and preferences may remain on the device. Search-learning events are stored without raw search text by default. Account controls let you export, reset or remove stored data. Production retention periods and processors must be finalised before public launch.
Search sources
Search terms and relevant filters may be sent to authorised third-party search services where needed to fulfil a Scour. Scouvrit identifies the origin of applicable results. Following a result link takes you to that provider, whose own privacy terms then apply.
Cookies, advertising and paid placement
Necessary storage supports security and core operation. Optional functional, analytics, advertising and affiliate categories stay off until accepted through Cookie Settings in the footer. Paid placements are labelled directly and never change Scouvrit scores or organic ranking. Declining optional storage does not reduce ordinary search functionality. Your choices
You can download your stored profile, Saved Scours, alerts and saved-item data, reset learning signals, or remove your account data from the Profile page. Avoid entering secrets, payment details or marketplace passwords into Scouvrit search or contact fields.
Contact and legal completion
Privacy questions can be sent to contact@scouvrit.com. The production policy must be completed with the controller’s legal identity and address, lawful bases, retention schedule, processor list and registration details where applicable, then reviewed by qualified UK counsel.
